Well, it is another new year. If you're anything like me, your head is still spinning from where the last one went! Regardless, there is something about every new year that is cleansing, refreshing. There always seems to be a layer of optimism that settles in. The question is, how do we keep that optimism, and even grow it!

Let's make our goal to grow our optimism for 2013 (and beyond). We can offer a couple of things to focus on to help: 1) be grateful to God for everything, and 2) view our hardships as opportunity to develop even greater character.

I pray that your New Year brings excitement, prosperity, and deeper meaning of hardship fostered through a greater closeness with our God.
